First there was Not. Many things came from Not: Alchemy 2.0, Cinereo Ascensus, the Principles of Not, The Tree of Not, The Book of Not and finally the religion of Authorism itself. Not was born in science then grew into a philosophy. From the Philosophy of Not came the ideology of Authorism. Now Authorism is an ideology and a religion. As an ideology it is more or less secular in nature. But when combined with the occult ideas that sprang from Alchemy 2.0, the ideology of Authorism acquired the tools it needed to evolve into a religious practice. It is truly a godless religion, but a religion nonetheless.

The Not Philosophies

The Ideology

After The Book of Not was published in May of 2020, a new book was conceived which takes the essence of the Philosophies of Not and streamlines each one into its own daily meditation. The book is called The Not Philosophies.

Alchemy 2.0

The exposure of Not and the fundamental building blocks of Life that followed naturally exposed the elemental nature of Not and Life and thus was born Alchemy 2.0. The alchemists of old were right about the five elements, but they were wrong about what each element is. The elements are not fire, air, water, earth and aether. They are warmth, light, activity, presence and spirit.

The ideology of Not flowed forth throughout the "channeling" of The Book of Not (the book was not channeled?). As the ideology solidified into a philosophy it became evident that a religion would be born.

The Church of Not (thus, the religion)

Once the philosophy of Not merged fully with Alchemy 2.0, the elements of a full fledged religion were all in place and Authorism the religion was born. In retrospect this all seems like a natural progression but it was more like a lake of events than a stream of events. At any rate, the Church of Not was founded, The Book of Not was published and Authorism came into the world.
